Learn to row
LEARN TO ROW – Year 8 up
Run by experienced coaches, our Learn to Row programme offers a fantastic chance to master the basics and get a feel for the sport.
The programme includes both on-water sessions and land-based technique training on the ergs (indoor rowing machines). You'll also learn rowing terminology, how to maintain the boats and equipment, and how to stay safe on the water.
No prior experience is needed, and all equipment is provided. Just wear activewear and bring a sunhat, water bottle, and your running shoes. Most importantly, come ready to have fun and discover just how addictive rowing can be.
Our next Learn to Row will be running in Term 1 2025
Learn to Row runs during the school term, but we also offer free 'Give Rowing a Go' sessions during the school holidays (dates TBC). The easiest way to stay informed is to follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
